Speciall Olympics Basketball Competition

From 8:00AM to 4:00PM

This event will spotlight local athletes competing in Basketball. The morning includes Team Competitions and will end around 12 PM. The afternoon offers Individual Skills / Team Skills activities and will start at 12 PM and conclude around 3 PM. There will be a lunch provided for the full day volunteers. Only available a few hours?? Individuals interested in partial day shifts are welcome! Join us for an exciting day as a scorekeeper, set up / tear down team, merchandising assistant, meal server, or medic. Half time will include a Fashion Show with athletes walking the runway sporting Special Olympic’s hippest trends available for purchase throughout the day. Additionally, everyone is welcome as a cheerleader. Come applaud and encourage our local athletes during the event. Watch as some of the best dogs strut their stuff to become the champion! Friday includes the Texoma Bulldog Club Specialty Show. Saturday & Sunday is the AKC All Breed Conformation Show. All events are FREE to the public. Lots of unique pet items and specialty vendors.

The Departments of Theatre and Music at Midwestern State University present Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street by Stephen Sondheim. After fifteen years in exile. Sweeney Todd, a barber by trade, returns to London to take revenge on the man who tore apart his family. He and Mrs. Lovett, the struggling owner of a pie shop, implement a macabre scheme. Showtimes are Thursday-Saturday at 7:30pm and Sunday at 2:30pm at the Fain Fine Arts Center Theatre at MSU. The Box Office is open Monday-Friday 1:00pm-5:00pm when school is in session.
