The Jacksons, The Isley Brothers and War are among the many acts that will take part in the 2020 edition of the annual Soul Train Cruise. The nautical music extravaganza will embark from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on January 14 and will stop at St. Maarten, St. Croix and the private Bahamian island of Half Moon Cay before returning to port on January 25.
Other artists that will perform on the cruise include Harold Melvin's Blue Notes, Cameo, Peabo Bryson, Atlantic Starr, Karyn White, Regina Bell and Johnny Gill. Tony Cornelius, son of late Soul Train emcee Don Cornelius, will host the cruise, and the original Soul Train Dancers will be on hand to entertain the crowds.
"Don Cornelius was a special friend of the Isley Brothers," says singer Ronald Isley. "His vision for Soul Train gave black artists a platform to showcase their talents in ways that no other television shows had ever done."
Isley adds, "[Soul Train] brought soul music to the world, turned hundreds of talented singers and musicians into stars and made an impact in so many ways that still lasts to this day. The Soul Train Cruise takes all of these things and puts them into one place with the greatest fans for a week of unbelievably good times."
In addition to the many musical performances, the cruise will offer special events and activities, including artist interviews and panel discussions, game shows, trivia contests, wine tasting, karaoke, pool parties, comedy performances, dance lessons from Soul Train Dancers and much more.
Cabin prices begin at $1,900 per person. Find out more details about the cruise by visiting SoulTrainCruise.com.
